    John is the Founder and Principal of Context with an MSc in Geography Community Planning and 25 years experience in strategic communications, issues management, strategic planning and community engagement. He has worked on numerous infrastructure projects and planning processes throughout southwest BC, managing teams of consultants to design and implement effective, multi-faceted communications programs to support those initiatives.

    Jack is a Vice President at Context with a Masters in Public Administration and over 20 years experience in community development, health education and health promotion. Jack currently leads Context's health sector projects, working closely with provincial and national health organizations to promote healthy living and tobacco cessation. A key aspect of Jack's work is facilitating diverse groups of individuals with varying values and beliefs to find mutually agreeable solutions.

    Debbie is a Vice President at Context and President of James Laurence Group, a communications training consultancy. She has a BA in Communication and a background in Journalism, with over 20 years experience providing strategic communications, media relations, issues management and creative writing services to large organizations. Much of Debbie’s work focuses on helping organizations build and maintain public trust and confidence.

Her work includes writing, developing and designing publications, presentations, displays and web content, and event and project management. She also provides strategic advice and training for clients in communication, stakeholder consultation and media relations.

He has designed and managed comprehensive communications and community relations programs for dozens of infrastructure projects and planning processes in BC, including transportation initiatives, energy projects, water treatment facilities, and waste management facilities.

    Kerry MacKelvie O'Brien

    Kerry is a Director at Context with a PhD in Human Kinetics and 14 years of clinical and community health research experience. Kerry has led an original investigation of youth access to tobacco, and developed rationale for provincial strategies in healthy eating and stroke care. Her research and evaluation skills have informed implementation plans for healthy eating initiatives in schools, and the strategic review and recommendation of healthy living interventions for BC.

    Suzanne is a Senior Consultant at Context with a BSc in Nursing, an MA in Leadership and over 20 years experience managing health promotion programs. Suzanne has succesfully managed the implementation of several health projects including the development and distribution of resources to educate and raise awareness of health issues, and the engagement of frontline healthcare providers to play a role in specific programs.

    Sharon is a Senior Consultant at Context with a Bachelor of Social Work degree and 9 years experience managing health promotion programs. Sharon has been the project manager for several health programs, particularly with respect to tobacco cessation. She has played a key role in the development and implementation of internet-based smoking cessation programs and programs to help increase options for smoke-free living in apartments and condominiums.

    Tyler is a Senior Consultant at Context with a BA in Communication and 5 years experience in program development and implementation, and community and stakeholder relations. Tyler has been the project manager for several health programs focused on tobacco cessation and has managed comprehensive evaluations of healthy eating programs. He has also been involved in the development and implementation of community consultations for major infrastructure projects.

Jon's work at Context has included the planning and execution of numerous public consultation and stakeholder engagement projects for clients including the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, the Ministry of Health Services, the Ministry of Transportation and Métis Nation BC. Jon has a Bachelors of Economics and has recently finished course work for his MA in Dispute Resolution.
